Review:
This is What Happy Looks Like is a teen fiction/young adult cliche romance novel. It follows the story of a quiet girl and a popular boy overcoming all odds to be together. In actual fact, it in some way sort of different from the popular cliche as there are slight modifications made that makes the novel slightly more unique. I especially love the way that at the beginning of each chapter, you see the next email sent, also indicating the point of view that we’ll be reading.Read down but beware of spoiler…
One of my favourite parts of this book had to be the end, watching the sunrise. I find that one the most beautiful and romantic scenes in a book I have ever read.
“Together, they waited for the sky to flip over like the turning of a page, the bone-coloured moon giving way to a brilliant sun, the promise of a new day, and Ellie was surprised to find herself thinking of the little town in France.”
